A Mural and a Tower

Liliana began drawing at the age of 8. Just for enjoyment, she would draw her favorite cartoon characters such as the Flintstones and Looney Tunes series on poster boards using colored pencils. It never dawned on her that one day she would be painting a 15' x 9' wall mural until in 2013, her nephew and sister asked her to paint a Walt Disney mural in his toy room. Never having painted before, Liliana signed-up for art classes at a local art and craft store.

As one of her art class projects, Liliana decided to paint the likeness of the Eiffel Tower being she just visited Paris, France a few years prior, and she truly loved the ambience of the city. However, one painting turned out to be five different themed paintings of the Eiffel Tower. Each painting had its own unique color, style and expression. After completion, Liliana gave each painting a title in French, and she chose the title based on the composition of the art piece. They were named Bonjour, Carnaval, Patriotique, Mascarade and Bonne Nuit. These paintings that Liliana created were what inspired her to begin illustrating her whimsical characters. Eventually, these whimsical characters became the lead roles in her first children's book. Hence, Les Cinq Eiffels (The Five Eiffels) were born! By the way, Liliana did finish the 15' x 9' Walt Disney mural for her nephew's toy room. The mural looks spectacular, and he loves it!
